Creating an aggregate from spare array LUNs

You can use the Create Aggregate dialog box to create a new aggregate from selected spare array LUNs. You must first change the ownership of an array LUN to spare, making the array LUN available for use.

Steps

1.	From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.

2.	Click Storage > Array LUNs.

3.	Select one or more spare array LUNs and click Create Aggregate.

Note: For aggregates for third-party storage, you cannot have array LUNs from storage arrays from different vendors in the same aggregate.

4.	Specify the name of the aggregate and click the 64-bit aggregate option to use the larger format.

5.	Click Create.
